A woman accused of being in charge of a bull terrier cross that attacked a golden retriever in Barnet is due to appear in court next month.
Nicola Bellerby, of Dollis Valley Way, was issued a summons by police today after the family dog named Dylan was mauled outside the Co-operative, in Mays Lane, on February 6.
The brown and white bull terrier cross that carried out the attack has since been seized by police under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Ms Bellerby is due to appear at Hendon Magistrates Court on April 19 charged with being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control in a public place.
