A SCHOOL in Totteridge began its first term operating as an academy this week.
Students were welcomed back to The Totteridge Academy, in Barnet Lane, which was formally known as The Ravenscroft School.
Pupils helped choose their new purple uniform and badge after being inspired by an historic sign for Totteridge Village.
Headteacher Mr Paul Ferrie said he is determined to see students continue to excel, after recently celebrating their successful GCSE results in which 75 per cent of pupils achieved A*-C grades.
He said: “These are the best results the school has ever achieved and are a testament to the hard work put in by all our students and staff.
“They provide an excellent foundation for us to build upon as we convert to The Totteridge Academy and we look forward to continued success in the future.”
