TWO men with learning disabilities will wash an ambulance each week and receive a monthly donation for a Hendon based charity.
Abish Leifer and Shaya Zimmels are both users of Kisharon which will get the cash contribution from Hatzola Jewish emergency service.
Through the charity’s employment provision which aims to provide job opportunities for people with learning disabilities in the community, Mr Leifer and Mr Zimmels will carry out their task on alternate Fridays.
Mr Leifer launched the venture last week when he cleaned and waxed the vehicle for 45 minutes.
Rabbi Weltman, employment manager for Kisharon’s adult services said: “The men are providing a meaningful contribution to society which aids to empower them and gives them a sense of helping others.”
