RESIDENTS are launching a Clean Up campaign to help improve Cricklewood Broadway next week.
Cricklewood Improvement Programme (CIP) will focus on policing and street care from Monday, April 4 to Monday, April 11 to help make the area safer and more attractive.
Cricklewood is covered by the boroughs of Barnet, Brent and Camden, and CIP plans to work with councillors, traders and police from each borough to make sure the area is developed as one neighbourhood.
Following a consultation with residents, the key issues set to be targeted include antisocial behaviour, people drinking alcohol in the street, graffiti, street lighting and refuse.
The programme was initiated by Cricklewood Homeless Concern and is run by the charity alongside residents and traders.
Danny Maher, chief executive of the charity and chairman of CIP, said: “The aim is to transform our area into a safe, healthy, vibrant and inviting neighbourhood where the needs of residents and businesses are central.
“We believe in working together for each other and are making the necessary changes so Cricklewood can be the place of choice for residents and visitors to enjoy living, working, shopping and socialising.”
