A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a bus on a pedestrian crossing in New Southgate on Tuesday.
Police believe the 62-year-old was using a crossing at the junction on Hampden Way and Osidge Lane when he was hit by a 382 bus at about 6.45pm.
After the accident, which happened near the Domins Pizza shop, he was rushed to hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.
Detective Constable James Ashton of Barnet CID said: “There were a number of people in the vicinity at the time who may have witnessed what happened, we urgently need to speak to these people.
“We really do need the publics' help in this matter I would ask anyone who has the any information to contact me.”
