BAKED goods provided the backbone for fundraising efforts from students at Barnet College on Friday in aid of Comic Relief.
A range of activities including custard pie throwing at staff in stocks, a cake sale and eating donuts without licking your lips helped them raise nearly £500 on Red Nose Day.
Afterwards they also took part in a sponsored Zumba dance-a-thon, helping them to burn off a few of the calories.
Barnet College principal Marilyn Hawkins said: "Raising £500 while bringing a smile to the College community is a brilliant achievement, and I'm very proud of those students who organised events.
"The money will be spent on projects to alleviate child poverty here in the UK and Africa, and the fact that so many staff and students took part shows that community spirit runs through everything we do here at Barnet College."
