POLITICAL correspondent Lucy Manning attended an annual ladies lunch in aid of Norwood charity.
The event was hosted by the charity’s Food & Thought Committee at Haven Bistro & Bar in High Road, Whetstone and raised £12,000.
As guest speaker Lucy Manning told the women about her job at ITV and her altercation with Larry, the Downing Street cat who scratched her live on camera.
When asked who she would most like to interview Ms Manning said: “The interview every journalist wants is Osama Bin Laden because nobody knows where he is and there would be lots of questions to ask him.”
All the money raised will go towards helping the charity support people with learning disabilities as well as children and families in need.
Ms Manning added: “In these difficult economic times, it is especially important to raise as much money as possible to support causes like Norwood that are fundamental to the life of the community.”
