STAFF at a school in Barnet have raised over £1,000 for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day after taking part in a sponsored cycle.
Nina Bain and Susan Turek are part of Whitefield School’s administration team and together they managed to cover a total of 130km on gym cycles last Friday.
Staff, students and governors encouraged the pair who raised money through online donations and cash collections on the day.
Ms Bain said: “It was a really fun event.
“The students and staff got really involved to help make it a success.
“We suffered all weekend as the exercise took its toll on our legs, but it was definitely worth it to raise such a large amount of money.”
