A TEENAGER was killed in a head-on car crash in Colindale yesterday afternoon.
The 18-year-old man was a passenger in a Volkswagen Golf which hit a Renault Megan in Colindeep Lane at around 2.40pm on Wednesday. Police believe the Golf hit a parked vehicle before colliding with the oncoming Megane.
The 18-year-old, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other man in the Golf, one aged 17, the others l8, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody at Colindale police station.
The woman driver of the Megane was treated for minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the silver VW Golf driving in the area beforehand - it is believed it was travelling on A41 before turning into Colindeep Lane.
