FRESH produce will be on sale at Barnet Farmers’ Market in The Spires shopping centre this week.
The market runs twice monthly on the first and third Friday and will open from 8.30am to 2pm this Friday.
Speaking about its re-launch last month, co-ordinator Roz Scott said: “Many past regulars attended and were happy to see the farmers’ market back in Barnet.
“There is clearly a loyal local following and we aim to offer a vibrant, high quality and broad selection of local produce.”
A range of goods will be on offer, including fruit and vegetables from Enfield, pork from Essex and sweet and savoury pies from Bedfordshire.
The market follows Farm and Retail Markets Association guidelines which ensure produce comes from within a 50-mile radius of Barnet and is sold by its manufacturer or a knowledgeable representative.
Visitors can enter a £1 prize draw to win a hamper and all proceeds will go to Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.
