YOUNGSTERS with life threatening illnesses met X Factor stars backstage at their live tour at the weekend.
The Hendon based charity Camp Simcha organised the trip to the 2011 X Factor tour in Wembley for the young people and their siblings, parents and volunteers on Sunday March 6.
The group were invited to meet last year’s contestants including Aiden Grimshaw, boy band One Direction and the winner of the 2010 ITV show, Matt Cardle.
Camp Simcha supports children from birth to the age of 18-years-old who have cancer or a life threatening condition including muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis and rare genetic conditions such as serious heart conditions and uncontrolled seizures.
It also provides practical and emotional support for parents and siblings.
Neville Goldschneider, chief executive of the charity said: “The children had a fantastic time at the live tour.
“When a child has to go through serious illness, treats like this can be tremendously uplifting.
“We are so grateful to all the X Factor stars who were really wonderful with the children.”
