A MOTHER and son survived an Edgware crash that flipped their car onto its side this morning.
The woman escaped with only minor injuries after the black Vauxhall Zafira hit a tree near the junction with Whitchurch Lane and Whitchurch Gardens at around 10.15am.
Her son was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure but is said to be uninjured.
Whitchurch Lane was partially closed this morning as a result of the smash.
A spokeswoman at the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at about 10.15am to Whitchurch Lane to reports of a road traffic collision.
"We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder to the scene.
"Our staff treated one patient and took them to hospital."
