A CONVICTED stalker who Googled his victim’s name 40,000 times is facing another charge of breaching a restraining order just hours after a similar case against him was dropped.
Ex-Sky Sports News producer Elliot Fogel, 31, was jailed for four-months in January last year for continued harassment of mother-of-two Claire Waxman from Mill Hill.
She claimed Fogel, who she met at college in St Albans, relentlessly pursued her, turning up outside her home, making hundreds of phone calls and even visiting her children’s nursery posing as a protective parent.
Mr Fogel, of Stanway Gardens, Edgware, launched a county court injunction to stop Mrs Waxman writing about him on her website, but was arrested for breaching a lifetime restraining order passed in 2006.
Last month he was cleared of those charges after prosecutors were told it was a breach of his human rights not to have access to legal processes.
But hours later he was arrested again after allegedly driving back to the court in Willesden to drop the case.
Prosecutors say by doing so he had to drive within a mile of Mrs Waxman’s workplace.
Today he told Hendon Magistrates Court he wanted to go to crown court for trial, and was released on unconditional bail to appear at Wood Green Crown court later this month.
