FOUR of the UK’s most expensive streets are in Barnet, a new survey revealed.
All of the 20 streets with the most costly homes in the country are in London, with Ingram Avenue, in Golders Green, retaining the second spot for the third year running, says the report by Mouseprice.com
Each house in the street was sold for an average of £6,419,400 last year, up from £6.08m the year before.
Nearby Winnington Road comes in seventh with average prices of £5,730,100. Winnington Close, where the Gaddafi family have been trying to sell an £11m mansion in recent weeks, is off this road.
Eden Close and Elm Walk, in Golders Green, are 13th and 14th respectively, with average prices of £5,593,600 and the so-called ‘billionaire’s row’ in Bishops Avenue, failed to make the top-20 list this year, with the two most recent sales in the street at £2.5m each.
Kensington and Chelsea is the most desirable borough according to the results, with 14 of the top-20 most expensive streets.
