Lollipop men and women are employed for the safety of schoolchildren and getting rid of those vital people will not change the need for safety, (‘Lollipop man will save lives’, Times Series, February 3).

If a child is killed or maimed because of the inability of Councillor Brian Coleman to understand the error of his ways, no doubt he will have excuses already prepared.

What is the value of a child’s life against the payment to the lollipop personnel?

Is Councillor Brian Coleman competent enough to be a councillor?
