As someone born in this country, I naturally thought the hills, dales, rivers and the forests of Great Britain were already parts of my rich natural heritage.
So imagine how alarmed I am at the Government's ill-thought plans to “dispose'”of much of our forests.
Earlier, this month, MPs voted at an opposition-day debate on whether to rethink the Government’s plans.
MPs Theresa Villiers (Con, Chipping Barnet) and Mike Freer (Con, Finchley & Golders Green) voted in support of the sale, while Mathew Offord (Con, Hendon) was absent.
Typically, the Tories know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.
If you feel strongly about the sale of our woodland heritage, please write to your MP and make sure the next time they get to vote on this issue, they will not follow the ConDem whips like sheep, and vote correctly against this disgraceful policy.
