POLICE are appealing for two good Samaritans who stopped a knifepoint robbery in Edgware to contact them.
An 11-year-old boy in Jewish Free School uniform was being attacked in Edgwarebury Lane, at the junction with Station Road, at 3.55pm last Wednesday when the man and woman walking a white dog stepped in.
The couple, aged around 40, chased off the suspect, who is described as a 5ft 7in black teenager about 13 years old, who was wearing a black hooded jacket and possibly met up with two other black teenagers on the way to the bus station.
Detective Constable Mike Paton, who is investigating said: “I would urge these two good people who helped the boy to contact me to help me in the investigation of this crime.
“Their eye-witness statements could be crucial in identifying the attacker and bringing him to justice.”
Witnesses should contact DC Mike Paton on 0300 123 12 12, quoting reference 2403453/11, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
