Royal Air Force Museum in Colindale will be holding a week of activities dedicated to its helicopter collection.
Visitors can have a rare peek inside the Whirlwind and The Royal Wessex, and children can even make their own paper helicopters. The museum will also be showcasing some of the current fleet of helicopters serving in the Royal Air Force. These machines will land on the museum’s helipad and remain there for a short time allowing visitors to view them and take photographs of the helicopters and their crews. Timings will vary from day to day.
As well as its helicopter collection, the museum has more than 100 aircraft on site. Admission to the museum and to its half term activities are free of charge.
