BUDDING film-makers are encouraged to perfect their skills this half term and enter the Film London in 90 Seconds competition.

Wannabe directors have the chance to win a £250 cash prize and the opportunity to have their 90 second footage screened before a public audience.

This year’s theme is Capital Tales and invites submissions which tell a story about London in a minute and a half.

Applicants can use any medium, from the most sophisticated digital video and the latest mobile phone technology to the most basic low-fi equipment.

Run as part of the London Borough Film Fund Challenge in partnership with Film London and Hendon Times it has been launched in Barnet as well as ten other boroughs across the capital.

The winning film will be screened at the annual Film London Best of Borough Awards at BAFTA in 2011.

The competition deadline is Friday, March 18 for both the under 20s and over 20s categories.
