SHOPPERS were treated to an unusual window display as a charity shop showed what it has to offer its customers in North Finchley.
Volunteers at Cancer Research in High Road used dressed-up in clothes from the store to dress up in a different theme every half an hour on Saturday, February 12.
Pauline Conway, Maria Cloney and Fatima Abidat dressed in Coco Chanel-inspired outfits and posed in a tea party scene with cups and saucers that are also on sale.
Two volunteers dressed as a bride and groom and there was a party scene to show off the numerous evening dresses in stock, as well as the odd feather boa.
Anette Shine organised the event and her sons Alex Shine, 13 and Zack Shine, 11 took part by playing board games and reading books.
She said: “The window display was a great way to show everyone what we have to offer, and ultimately to raise awareness for this fantastic charity.
“The shop is like an Aladdin’s cave – you never know what you’re going to find and a lot of people who were tempted to come in were surprised by all the lovely things we sell.”
