FILMING has started on The Iron Lady about the life and work of the first female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher.
Actress Meryl Streep will star as Lady Thatcher who was Conservative Member of Parliament for Finchley from 1959 to 1992.

“I am trying to approach the role with as much zeal, fervour and attention to detail as the real Lady Thatcher possesses - I can only hope my stamina will begin to approach her own."
It tells the story of how Lady Thatcher smashed through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world.
