Great Train robber Ronnie Biggs, who has been living at a Barnet nursing home, has been taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called to the 81-year-old's nursing home this morning (Thursday) after he had what is believed to be a stroke.
His son, Michael, said he was conscious and preparing to have a CT scan and a series of other tests to determine what had happened.
Biggs was released from prison to the nursing home, which is close to his son's home, on compassionate grounds in 2009 because of health problems.
