TEENAGERS are preparing for a talent showcase in High Barnet next week.
Dancers, rappers, poets, and artists will come together as part of the Get Familyar programme at The Bull Theatre, in High Street, on Thursday, February 17 at 7.30pm.
It marks the first show for the community group, since launching free workshops for people aged 13 to 19, at Burnt Oak Leisure Centre, in October.
Project director, Mikel Ameen, 22, said: “This is the culmination of a lot of hard work by our members.
“It will be a fun and interactive show, so come prepared.”
Part of the performance will include an open-mic section, with audience participation encouraged.
The Get Familyar programme is hoping to launch a second batch of workshops in March, once it has found new premises.
The project aims to bring young people of diverse backgrounds and culture together through debates and sharing creative talents.
Tickets for the event cost £2 and are available on the door. For more information, search Get Familyar on Facebook.
