ALL of Barnet's Tory MPs voted for the government Bill to increase tuition fees yesterday.
New members Mike Freer (Finchley and Golders Green) and Matthew Offord (Hendon) both backed the plans, which are hugely unpopular with many students, in the tight vote last night won by just 21 votes.
Chipping Barnet MP Theresa Villiers, a transport minister, also towed the party line in backing the increases, which could see some students forced to pay £9,000-per-year for some courses.
Students from colleges across Barnet and Middlesex University descended on Parliament Square yesterday to join one of the largest protests seen in recent years against the plans.
