AROUND 60 temporary jobs are expected to be created in Hertsmere, including Potters Bar, as the Office of National Statistics launches a recruitment campaign for the 2011 census.
A range of full and part time position will be available to residents to help make sure everyone in the area can complete and return their questionnaire by March 27, 2011.
Working with various people and organisations, the roles available include coordinators, who will help to manage local teams, collectors, who will provide help and support on the doorstep, and special enumerators, who will be responsible for communal residents.
Dave Moore, Office of National Statistics (ONS) area manager, said: “The census is not just about counting people, the information it provides is needed to plan vital services like schools, hospitals, housing, roads and emergency services.
“The 2011 census is lees than six months away. We need to give people help and support to complete and return the census questionnaire and this means recruiting the right people for this important nationwide project.”
Full application details for all roles available concerning the census, can be found at www.censusjobs.co.uk or at local job centres.
