A CONTROVERSIAL Barnet Councillor has been reselected to fight for his seat at the London Assembly.
Councillor Brian Coleman, who has served as the member for Barnet and Camden since 2000, was “overwhelmingly” voted through as the candidate to fight for the seat in 2012 at a meeting of five associations in Finchley on Thursday.
After the meeting he said: “I am honoured and delighted to have been selected again to defend the seat and look forward to continuing to represent the residents of Barnet and Camden.”
He is also the cabinet member for environment and transport in Barnet and chair of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority.
