AN ILLUMINATING Christmas lights switch-on is planned for Brookmans Park near Potters Bar this Saturday.
Members of the Brookmans Park Rotary Club will be lighting a tree on Bradmore Green at 6.30pm, with the help of Carina Gillespie and Stuart Nurse, two stars of the Wyllyotts Theatre pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
Prior to the switch-on, Father Christmas will be arriving on his sleigh at around 6pm. The Potters Bar Town Band will accompany with carols, before mince pies, hot dogs, mulled wine and hot chocolate are served.
There will be collection at the event, raising money for charities supported by the Rotary Club of Brookmans Park.
The club is also organising a Christmas sleigh street collection for charity, which will see a festive sleigh tour the streets of Brookmans Park on Wednesday and Thursday next week, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
