HUNDREDS of homes in Cricklewood have been left without gas after a water escaped into pipes following a mains rupture.
Problems started yesterday afternoon and it is understood between 200-400 homes are currently without gas, with National Grid handing heaters and electric stoves to residents.
It is similar to problems which blighted East Barnet last Christmas where thousands of people were left without gas and electricity for nearly a fortnight.
Anyone with special requirements is asked to contact National Grid on 0845 605 6677 for more information and to arrange extra facilities.
More soon.
