A MUSWELL Hill woman is set to stand trial over allegations she racially abused a staff member at a Tesco store in Barnet.

Sharon Walker, 45, is also accused of trying to take food worth around £45 from the store in Greenhill Parade, Great North Road, and of having a kitchen knife on her at the time.

Police were called to an incident at the Express store just after 3pm on Wednesday and arrested Ms Walker, of Alexandra Road, a short way away in Mays Lane.

She appeared at Hendon Magistrates Court this morning and is set to have a trial over the accusations on December 20.
