The decision by Barnet Council to pass the development will feather its nest at the expense of local environment, transport and the viability of surrounding town centres.
The transport increase of 29,000 cars per day and the waste scheme are environmentally damaging, and Cricklewood station will doubtless have to close (as National Rail has implied in its submission) rather than be linked to the rest of the underground system via the North West London Light Railway.
The opportunity to regenerate Cricklewood itself has been completely overlooked or lost.
Even the promised development of homes is illusory, as it is a later phase entirely optional for the developers. Shame on Barnet Council.
