TWO people have been committed for trial over the theft of three historic bells from a Barnet museum earlier this year.
The trio of bells, which were part of a set cast for east Barnet Town Hall in 1898, were snatched from the Barnet Museum in Wood Street in March.
They have not been recovered.
Today at Hendon Magistrates Court two people, Katie Nixon, 20, of The Avenue, and Michael Accurso of Friars Avenue, both East Barnet, were committed for trial at Wood Green Crown Court.
Two other people are expected to be charged with taking part in the theft next week.
The largest of the bells, made by J Warner and Sons weighed 350lbs.
Anyone with information on the bells can contact DC Mohammed Ghaus at Colindale CID on 0300 123 1212, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
