AN EMOTIONAL appeal has been left with floral tributes to a jogger killed by a hit-and-run driver in Oakleigh Park last week.
Flowers have been taped to a bollard at the junction of Temple Avenue and Netherlands Road where the 20-year-old, named Liz, was knocked down last Wednesday at about 8pm..
Police have left appeal boards urging anyone with information on the car, believed to be a metallic blue BMW 3 Series, which sped off after knocking the student down.
She was rushed to a north London hospital with serious head injuries but died in intensive care on Thursday.
One card read: “You were one of the most lovely, genuine , talented and friendly people I've ever met and it was a massive honour knowing you. Next year will be so difficult without you.
“I'm so sorry I didn't get to say goodbye at the hospital. Love you dearly.”
One from a friend Hugh, said: “You will be greatly missed. If you know anything please come forward.”
Another simply read “God bless”.
Officers from the Collission Investigation Unit at Alperton are investigating the incident and anyone in the area at the time and saw the collision, can identify a BMW with recent damage, or anyone who knows the driver to call them on 020 8998 5319, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Did you know Liz? Leave your tributes below.
