AN IMAGE has been released of a man police want to speak to in relation to an attempted abduction in an East Finchley park.

The man grabbed the arm of the eight-year-old boy and tried to drag him into a car in East End Road at about 4.30pm on Saturday, June 12.

He had been aying in a park with a group of friends but had been left alone when he was approached by the man, who grabbed his arm and dragged him about 30 feet before he was able to get free.

He is described as white, 30 to 40 years old, of average build with short dark hair, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins tall, clean shaven wearing a short denim-like jacket.

He had a hooded red top on underneath the jacket and was wearing dark trousers.
