A JURY is today set to hear the first evidence in the trial of a man accused of murdering a care worker from Cricklewood.
South London IT specialist Clinton Bailey, 36, appeared last Monday at the Old Bailey charged with the murder of Leah Questin, whose decomposed body was found dumped in a suitcase last September.
A delay meant the trial was put back until today when it will be opened to a jury at the same court.
Mr Bailey, of Malpas Road, Brockley, was remanded in custody. He denies murdering Philippines-born Ms Questin, of Sneyd Road.
The body of the 37-year-old was discovered in a suitcase which had been dumped in a dried-up pond by farmland near Rochester, Kent.
She was reported missing to the Missing Persons Unit at Brent by a friend on September 12, 12 days before her body was found.
