A MOBILE police station is parking up at Tesco in Potters Bar today to give residents the chance to express their concerns about crime in the area.
Representatives from Hertsmere Community Safety Partnership (CSP) will be based in the store's car park from 2pm to 4pm.
The team, which includes Hertsmere Borough Council, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service and police, will be around to listen to concerns about community safety.
Organisers of the 'Spotlight' event said the aim was to give residents a chance to speak to officers face-to-face about any issues such as anti-social behaviour, graffiti, fly-tipping or street lighting.
Councillor John Donne, portfolio holder for community safety, said: "Residents can use this opportunity to raise concerns they have about the area and find out about crime prevention.
"This event is all about us working with the community to make things better and encourage people to take pride in Hertsmere.”
The event follows yesterdays Environmental Action Day (EAD) in Potters Bar Parkfield ward, when representatives from Hertsmere CSP identified and took action on environmental issues such as graffiti and fly-tipping by walking around the area.
