A 20-year-old student has died after a hit-and-run crash near Oakleigh Park rail station on Wednesday.
The woman was out jogging when she was hit by a car at the junction of Netherlands Road and Temple Avenue, at about 8pm.
She was taken by ambulance to a north London hospital with head injuries and spent time in intensive care, but she died there yesterday, police said.
A statement from Scotland Yard said: “A metallic blue BMW 3 series or similar is believed to have been involved.
“The driver of the vehicle did not stop and left the scene driving north on Netherlands Road towards East Barnet.
“Officers believe the car would have extensive damage to the front and near side.”
Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton are investigating the incident.
They are asking for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the collision, anyone who can identify a BMW with recent damage, or anyone who knows the driver to call them on 020 8998 5319.
Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
