A WEEKLY class aimed at the borough's older residents has been started at an al-fresco gym in an East Barnet park.
Every Tuesday over-55s are invited to take part in the hour-long session run in partnership by Barnet Council and Age Concern in Oak Hill Park, which costs just £1.50.
During the sessions, part of the Say Go programme, they will be shown a range of activities including how to use pieces of equipment as well as stretches.
Councillor Sachin Rajput, the cabinet member for adults, said: “For our older residents, keeping fit and active is vital.
“Sessions like this one in Oak Hill Park have the added benefit of being a social event where you can make and meet friends.
"The al fresco gym has already proved popular with residents of all ages and I am sure that classes like this will see them used by still more people."
