DADS are being challenged to take part in a charity bike ride next Sunday, instead of taking it easy for Fathers Day.
Jewish charity Norwood, based in Stanmore, is running a Junior Bike Ride next Sunday in Elstree, which last year saw 500 cyclists raise £40,000 for the cause.
Nathaniel Young, 7, from Southgate, is taking part in the 10-mile ride next week.
He said: “Me and my brother Eliot are doing the bike ride to raise money for children who are not as lucky as me.
“I have never been on a bike without stabilizers but I am learning so that I can ride a real bike for 10 miles.
“I will have to practice a lot so I can help lots of children who have disabilities and family problems.”
The off-road ride is open to kids between 7-14 and their parents and grandparents, with the top findraiser winning an iPod.
Ian Tate, head of Norwood challenges, said: “Not only is this a great way for families to enjoy the outdoors and keep fit but every participant is helping us support thousands of people with learning disabilities, and children and families in need.
“At Norwood we take great pride in teaching young people the importance of fundraising and social action and thank everyone who has dedicated their time to this worthy cause.”
