The Mall Broadwalk in Edgware is warming up to blow the starting whistle on a fortnight of sporting fun and games this summer.
A mini-sporting arena is being prepared at shopping centre, where children will be able to enjoy a host of sporting activities.
With the summer holidays now upon us, it can be hard to come up with fun things to keep the children occupied. So if the kids are kicking their heels at home, bring them down to The Mall Broadwalk next week, where they can shoot some basketball hoops or take part in a football challenge.
The action-packed It's Game On event runs from Monday until August 14. Endorsed by Sport England, the event is aimed at encouraging children to be active during the summer holidays. Football, basketball, keep-fit and golf putting will be available at the centre.
Visitors will have the opportunity to sign up for sports with local clubs, such as Edgware Town Football Club, and at Barnet Burnt Oak Leisure Centre.
They can also receive information and advice on health and nutrition, as well as body-fat testing.
Every child who takes part will receive one of T&T's no-added-sugar drinks and a goody bag to take away, and for mums and dads, there will be the chance to win a four-day family activity holiday for four people, to keep the whole family moving.
Angela Greenlees, general manager of The Mall Broadwalk, said: "It's Game On will be interactive and educational, but most of all fun, with plenty of great activities to help local children get active and encourage them to sign up to sports.
"The Mall Broadwalk is proud to be at the heart of the community in Edgware, and we're inviting all local children to come and have a go and get involved."
