SPURS and England footballer Jermain Defoe has been ordered to pay nearly £1,000 after being convicted of speeding in Potters Bar.
Defoe, 26, of Cuffley, Hertfordshire, was caught on a speed camera driving a black Ferrari at 45mph in a 30mph zone in Mutton Lane on October 4 last year.
He appeared at St Albans magistrates court on Tuesday, where he was fined £500 and ordered to pay £455 costs, plus a £15 victim impact surcharge.
He was also given four penalty points.
