A JEWISH school set up in a residential home in Golders Green has been ordered to close by a High Court judge.
An injunction against the Beis Hamadrash Elyon school was granted after it opened without planning permission and defied orders to close.
The school, on Golders Green Road, has until December 31 this year to cease operating.
It opened in 2002 and retrospective planning permission was denied by a Barnet Council planning subcommittee in 2003.
The Planning Inspectorate have previously upheld the council's decisions.
The council took the case to the High Court after receiving a number of complaints relating to noise and other problems from neighbours.
