POLICE have released the CCTV images of two men they are hunting in connection with two thefts from a petrol station in Potters Bar.
The separate incidents took place last month at the BP garage in High Street, with suspects stealing more than £100 worth of packeted meat from the shelves.
The first theft happened at about 1.10pm on Saturday, June 20, when a man in his early 30s entered the store and began stuffing items under a black jacket he was carrying.
Police said the man then left with the stock of meat having made no attempt to pay.
Eight days later, at about 2.10pm on Sunday, June 28, two men, aged in their late teens or early 20s, entered the garage shop and while one man went to the toilet, the other took a large quantity meat from the fridge.
They then left the store together and police again said the suspects made no attempt to pay.
Investigating officer, PC Graham Hiscock, said: "We are really keen to speak to the men pictured in the images or for anyone who recognises them to get in touch.
“It may be that they were witnesses to the crimes or can offer assistance into the investigations.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who might have any information about the crimes.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Hiscock on the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222, citing crime reference number J3/09/749 for the first incident or J3/09/786 for the second.
Alternatively, telephone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
