THE leader of Barnet Council has contracted swine flu.
Conservative councillor Mike Freer, also the prospective parliamentary candidate for Finchley and Golders Green, was diagnosed today.
In a post on the social networking site Twitter he wrote: "I have swine flu but impressed with diagnosis service from GP."
A council spokesman said he is being treated with Tamiflu.
