The article in last week’s paper about Barnet Market (‘Traders are “left in the dark” over future of street market’, July 9) only hints at the complexities of the case and, rather than enter into the war of words, we believe there needs to be a clear message sent to the residents of Barnet and beyond. If you value your market, as most of us do, please support it by shopping there through rain and shine. It’s a tremendous local asset and traders will continue to come as long as we continue to shop.
The Friends of Barnet Market was formed about 18 months ago and it consists of the main residents’ organisations in High Barnet working together.
We are determined the market will not fail and we hope you are too, so please head to the Stapylton Road car park on Wednesdays and Saturdays. More information about the market can be found at www.fobm.co.uk
