I have been cooking for nearly 25 years and food has always been a passion of mine. I have a little girl (21 months old) and realised that weaning your child and then providing them with a balanced diet thereon is not as easy as some make it out to be. We tend to stick to what we know. There were times when I was either too tired to cook, could not be bothered or I had just run out of ideas. There is a limit on how many time you can serve up spaghetti and tomato sauce! (although my daughter loves it everytime) I found that the recipe books on the market for babies and children often use too many ingredients, many recipes are just too long-winded and cost a small fortune to make. I’d spend hours preparing a dish that ended up on me or on the floor. So I decided to write my own recipes and am now compiling a cookbook containing all my recipes that even parents who have never cooked before can easily follow. Over the coming months I will be uploading my recipes and cooking tips on this blog to help make your life easier in the kitchen when it comes to cooking for your children.
