A CHILD star from High Barnet will appear in a blockbuster film following the life of Charles Darwin, released in September.

Harrison Sansostri, aged seven, of Jarvis Close, will play the role of Lenny Darwin, son of the renowned scientist.

He appears alongside established Hollywood stars Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly, who played the lead role in the Eighties hit Labyrinth.

Harrison said: “I really enjoy acting. I really like being with the crew.

"I even had my own trailer once.”

His mother Debby Sansostri, 50, a former ballet dancer, said: “He's modelled since he was four months old and then he was spotted.

“He was auditioning for a Petit Filous advert and the casting director told me 'never mind modelling, get him an agent'.

“In the last year he's done so much stuff.”

Mrs Sansostri said Eileen Quigley, Harrison's headteacher at St Catherine's school in Vale Drive, had been "very supportive".

Harrison will also appear in performances of Jason and the Argonauts and Medea at The Scoop outdoor theatre outside City Hall on the South Bank this summer.
