Mill Hill 2 - 6 BA At one point, briefly it looked as though Mill Hill might get a result. When Ryan scored Mill Hill's second, bringing the deficit down to two goals, there was a glint in his eye which said "lock up your daughters, this South African wants to party." And he did, waltzing and quick stepping through the defence in a manner that made John Sargeant look look like a lumbering old ugly bloke. But BA chipped and hacked, tripped and smacked and kept him out. A couple of defensive slips from the reunited old guard in Mill Hill's defence and the game had gone.
BA ( the world's favourite hockey team) were effective but never truly in control, they scored good goals without looking like top table material and the home team certainly mad a game of it. Mill Hill had hoped to do much more. The return of Roger Casper after a brain injury and David Evans (ankle) brought together a back four the likes of which had not been seen at Compton since the Millennium was in its infancy. But a lack of match practice showed through and another three points disappeared.
