Several busy Brent roads will be shutoff for many months due to water main works.

The installation of a new water main and associated works in several areas near Willesden, Dollis Hill and Kilburn, will cause much disruption in the areas.

A temporary prohibition of traffic order has been granted by Brent Council in the Chapter Road area between Dollis Hill and Willesden – but associated works will have knock on effects in other parts of the borough.

However the road closures will be carried out in phases, and it will take place between 7am and 8pm.

It will result in the entire length of Balmoral Road restricting vehicles to enter, wait or load from January 6 to March 9, 2025.

The same would apply to the entire length of Buxton Road from December 2 to December 22 this year.

Similar restrictions apply to Chatsworth Road from December 2 to December 22, but this is between house numbers 130 and 132 on the road and a point opposite the common boundary of numbers 171 and 173.

Chapter Road however will be impacted the most, with the entire length restricting access from December 2 this year until May 11 next year.

Lydford Road will have the same restrictions from December 2 to January 26, 2025, between the northern kerb-line of Willesden Lane and a point opposite the north-eastern building wall of number 29.

The entire length of St Pauls Avenue will be restricted from April 20 to May 11, 2025.
