The stories of 163 people on a church war memorial have been told in a book of remembrance.
The book, created by two volunteers, Amanda Davies and Fiona Darbyshire, details the lives of those from De Beauvoir who died in the First World War.
The book details information about their birth, death, marriage, parents, where they lived, and the regiment they served in.
The book serves as a bridge to the past for future generations and descendants, some of whom still live in De Beauvoir.
Emily Thornberry, Labour MP for Islington South & Finsbury, visited the war memorial at St Peter's Church in De Beauvoir on Armistice Day to pay her respects.
Ms Thornberry said: "I was so impressed by the work that has been done to uncover the individual stories of the boys and men of De Beauvoir who gave their lives in the First World War.
"It helps you to see the people behind the names when you understand their history, where they were born, the roads they lived on, the churches they married in, and then where they went on to serve.
"It’s such a great contribution to our community’s sense of identity."
