Remembrance Sunday is approaching so we have compiled a list of services taking place in north London.

Hampstead

Sunday, November 10

The Parish Church of St John-at-Hampstead is holding a Remembrance Sunday Holy Communion at 10.30am.

All Hallows Church, Gospel Oak is hosting a Remembrance Sunday solemn requiem mass at 10.50am in Savernake Road.

The mass will begin at the war memorial with an act of Remembrance accompanied by a trumpet.

There will be a wreath laying at the church at 11.45am on Monday.

Monday, November 11

The Interfaith Hampstead Remembrance Service will be held at the Whitestone Pond War Memorial, by North End Way, Jack Straws Castle. Assemble by 10.45am.

There will be a 10.30am service of remembrance at Hampstead Cemetery.

Barnet

Sunday, November 10

Barnet will be commemorating with a parade beginning at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Hendon, and moving to the local war memorial before observing two minutes of silence at 11am.

The parade will assemble at 10.15am and move to the memorial for 10.40am.

The mayor will be attending and will lay a wreath on behalf of the mayoralty, councillors and burgesses.

Haringey

Sunday 10th November

A wreath laying service will take place at Hornsey War Memorial, Hornsey Health Centre, Park Road, at 10am.

There will also be a service at Wood Green War Memorial, opposite Haringey Civic Centre, High Road, at 10.45am and at Tottenham War Memorial at the same time.

A 9.30am service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Philip Lane, Tottenham.

West Green War Memorial, junction of West Green Road and Philip Lane N15 5EG will see a service at 2.30pm and St Saviours Court, Alexandra Park Road at 3pm.

Monday, November 11

Local schoolchildren, clergy and residents will gather at the War Memorial in the Garden of Remembrance at Tottenham Cemetery, White Hart Lane. The service starts at 10.45am.

Brent

Sunday, November 10

The borough’s Civic Remembrance service is in Barham Park at 1.50pm.

The service will begin with a parade headed by the Regent Brass Band and community groups such as the Air Force, Sea Cadets Army, Navy, and other uniformed units.

Coming to a stop at the memorial site, the parade will end with a general salute before the service begins.

Dean of Brent, Rev Sophie Schuil-Brewer, will lead the worship and tributes during the service.

Throughout the service, wreaths will be laid by groups and leaders across Brent to pay their respects.

Elsewhere in Camden

Sunday, November 10

Service of Remembrance at St Pancras Church, Euston Road, beginning at 10am.

There will also be a service and wreath-laying in front of the London and North Western Railway Company War Memorial at 10.55am and a wreath-laying at the POW WWII Memorial, Mornington Crescent, at 12.30pm.

Monday, November 11

Wreaths will be laid at 11.45am at St Michael’s, Camden Town; 12.15 pm Eversholt Street Memorial, St Mary the Virgin NW1 1BN, (the wreath laying will be inside the church due to ongoing works); 12.15pm Chenies Street War Memorial; 12.35pm Kings Cross LNER Mainline Station Concourse and 12.45pm at St Mary Magdalene, Munster Square.
